ABOUT

I use the subjects in my work to explore the complex and raw reality of human interaction and relationships. My work tends to revolve around the figure; the human body, and the many shapes and forms that construct it, is a constant source of inspiration. Material is also a subject I explore throughout my work. Understanding how material affects the artefact as a whole is essential in my practice.Culture has also been a key theme in my work. I have grown up in both Scotland and Brazil, each experience and sense of identity having influenced the development of my work over the years.
